Timing is everything, especially when you're trying to catch a sunrise at a temple or a sunset boat trip. This week, we are mastering the basics of time so you never miss a beat.
Days of the Week
Whether you're planning for tomorrow or talking about yesterday, these are your essentials:

Wan-nee – Today.
Phrung-nee – Tomorrow.
Muea-wan-nee – Yesterday.
Dton-chao – In the morning.
Dton-yen – In the evening.
When is the Boat/bus/tuk tuk?
Gee mohng laew? – What time is it?
Ror baep nung – Wait a moment.
Chaa-chaa – Slow down / Slowly.
Trunk Travel Tip: Thai people are often quite relaxed about time (we call it "Thai Time"). If someone says "baep nung" (one moment), it might be five minutes or fifteen—just relax and enjoy the view!
