Cambodia is a fascinating country. In many areas it proudly displays an upcoming economy. In others, poverty is rife and very visible. Considered a third-world country, Cambodia is still suffering from the horrors of the Khmer Rouge regime that happened just 40 years ago. It’s certainly not a country for the faint of heart, yet when you meet the locals, you can’t help but fall in love.
The two main cities that draw tourists are the capital city of Phnom Penh in the south, and the ancient city of Siem Reap in the north. Cambodia is home to some fabulous beaches, islands and other towns that need to be experienced. A trip to Cambodia, indeed to Southeast Asia, is not complete without a visit to Angkor Wat – the largest religious monument on the planet, built in the early 12th Century. It truly is a testament to human ingenuity. Luckily, on our tours to Cambodia, we have this hotspot covered.
The Kingdom of Wonder is also home to our most diverse range of impact programs. We have a huge network of contacts in all areas of travel across Cambodia, and the very best operations team available, ready to help exceed all journey expectations!
